Football trip to Germany with the Champions League in Dortmund

Between the 8th and 10th of December, a football trip to Germany awaits, where Borussia Dortmund face Inter Milan in the Champions League. Here, a major European match is combined with two different sides of North Rhine-Westphalia – Düsseldorf’s elegant city life and Dortmund’s strong football culture.

Düsseldorf will be the base for the trip, with central accommodation and plenty of time to discover the city. On matchday, the journey continues towards Dortmund and the Signal Iduna Park, where one of Europe's most classic football stadiums awaits.

Champions League night at the Signal Iduna Park

Signal Iduna Park has a special place on the European football map. When Borussia Dortmund play at home, the supporters, the chants and the intense atmosphere in the stands are a natural part of the experience.

When Inter Milan come to visit, the atmosphere is something out of the ordinary. Dortmund's intense home support meets a major Italian team with a long European tradition, giving the match a distinct international character.

With a short-side ticket, you get close to the action and experience the match from a part of the stadium where the crowd's reactions become a natural part of the evening. From the build-up around the stadium to the final whistle, it will be a Champions League experience to remember.

Düsseldorf as a base for the football trip

The trip includes two nights at a central 3-star hotel in Düsseldorf. Here there is time to discover the city's restaurants, centre and walking paths before match day.

Düsseldorf offers a blend of modern metropolis, classical architecture and a lively centre. Stroll along the Rhine, discover the Altstadt or sit down at a restaurant before it is time to travel onwards to Dortmund.

The frequent train connections make Düsseldorf a practical base for matchday. The combination of city life in Düsseldorf and top-tier European football at the Signal Iduna Park makes this a football trip where both the destination and the match get to take centre stage.
