Bundesliga returns to Dortmund

Join us on a football trip to Germany and experience Borussia Dortmund kicking off their first home match in the 2026/27 Bundesliga season against Hamburger SV during the weekend of 28–31 August 2026. The start of the season is always special in Dortmund, where expectations are high and the stands are filled with supporters who have waited all summer to gather around their team once more.

The match against Hamburg also carries a history that stretches far back in German football. Two of the country's most well-known clubs meet in a match where tradition, rivalry, and passion are at the forefront. For anyone who wants to experience the Bundesliga at its most authentic, it is hard to find a better setting.

Match day at Signal Iduna Park

The trip includes official match tickets in the long side to Signal Iduna Park (Westfalenstadion), Germany's largest football stadium and one of Europe's most talked-about football temples. Here, the experience is about significantly more than the 90 minutes on the pitch.

On the south short side stretches the legendary Yellow Wall – the famous Yellow Wall where around 25,000 standing Dortmund supporters create one of the world's most impressive stadium atmospheres. Flags, tifos and continuous singing mean that the atmosphere begins to build long before kick-off and continues until the final whistle. For many football lovers, a visit to the Signal Iduna Park is an experience that belongs high on any wish list.

When Hamburg visit Dortmund, the intense atmosphere gains another dimension. The visitors are one of Germany's most historic clubs and matches between clubs with such a strong history tend to be characterised by high intensity both on the pitch and in the stands.

Football trip to Germany with accommodation in Düsseldorf

Your football trip to Germany includes three nights at a centrally located 3-star hotel in Düsseldorf. Thanks to the fast and frequent train connections, you can reach Dortmund smoothly on match day, while staying in a city that offers a wider range of restaurants, shopping, and nightlife.

Düsseldorf is one of Germany's most popular weekend destinations. Stroll along the elegant Rhine promenade, discover the historic Altstadt – often called ”the longest bar in the world” – or settle down at one of the city's many outdoor cafés before it's time to continue your journey towards Dortmund.

The combination of Düsseldorf's city life and a match day at Signal Iduna Park makes the trip more than just a football visit. You get to experience two of North Rhine-Westphalia's most interesting cities during the same weekend, one known for its culture and nightlife, the other for a football atmosphere that few stadiums in Europe can match.
